Get a focused degree

The Film Shool offers accredited 3- or 4-year BFA degrees in Film with concentrations in Story Development, Production, Visual Effects/Technical Animation, or Post Production. Most universities make you take two years of general education before entering into your degree. At SFUAD, you’ll study your degree all four years and start honing your filmmaking skills from the first day of class. In fact, we’re going to give you your own professional-caliber DSLR camera. For free. (And after 4 consecutive semesters with us it is yours to keep!) At SFUAD, there is nothing holding you back from making films, participating in professional opportunities, and creating a dynamic reel of work.

All of our faculty are professional filmmakers with years of experience and they are still working in the industry. With award winning faculty like Hank Rogerson, actor and producer, known for films like Sicario, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Gold, and Shakespeare Behind Bars, our alums are having no trouble finding their place in world. From Hollywood to Chicago to New York, Universal to HBO, you’ll find SFUAD graduates working and ready to welcome you to their ranks.
